Every week I go to an elementary school and read to a class of first graders. When I turned the corner down the corridor a couple of weeks ago I stopped and laughed and took this picture.
Kids are required to wear boots, hats, mittens and snowpants. This class just came in from recess - I think.
There is no doubt why the lost and found is overflowing!
We had a very nice respite from the cold this past week. Yesterday I had a window in every room open for the fresh air and sunshine. Snow is gone, melted away. Winter isn't through with us yet but we've seen the worst of it.
That’s so funny see clothing everywhere. I’d like to see when they get out of class and have to find their items

ReplyDeletei can see myself stopping whatever i was doing before i stumbled across that messy mess, and pairing shoes into neat lineups ... all of those mismatches would have disturbed me till i'd fixed it - cuz my matching sets OCD is a blessing and a curse.
ReplyDeletewhen No Jo lost his jacket (almost everydamnday when i showed up to walk him home), it always took us extra long at the Lost & Found cuz i would dig through the piles of found stuff and match gloves, mittens, socks, boots, whatever and then sort it all into "like" piles ... and the next day it would be the same mess ... sigh - i miss the time we spent together...
