Baseball and birthdays

We had a long day Saturday so I couldn't go on virtual retreat.  We left home at 6:45 a.m. and drove to see Charlie's baseball and soccer games. We got there just as the 9:30 baseball game was starting.

He's a goalie for his soccer team so he didn't have to do the running on the field on this hot day.  Did I say it was hot?  We've been complaining about the cold for so long, it actually felt good to warm the bones.  But it was hot. Really.

Michael had the best seat in the house on daddy's shoulders.
Then we drove back to this side of the state for Elizabeth's birthday party.  She's seven!  We're all kind of pinching ourselves on that one.  It was 88 degrees Saturday, see how flushed she looks?
We all better learn to watch out when these two put their heads together.
Since last week Michael got his first hair cut!  The curls are gone and he looks like such a big boy.
Eleven cousins running and playing and swinging and being silly.  It was a great party, a perfect way to end a long day filled with all of the grands.

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!
