When the group Franklin Park ended their set with Twist and Shout the entire audience of thousands was on their feet Ferris Bueller-ing.
It was THE most fun!
Then the headliner group came on. Again, PH and I had never heard of them, but they, too, are local, a girl band from MY high school years called the 6 Pak. People, these women are over 65, grandmas, and they were just fun on a plate. More of our music, more energy in the crowd, but take a close look, 90% of the thousands of people in the audience are our age (high end of 60). They were dancing, singing, waving their phone lights (I was told Bic lighters are out, phone lights are in, but I don't have a Bic lighter nor a smart phone so what do I know?)
By the end of the evening, no one was sitting, everyone was singing and that's the sign of a good concert! These two bands, fun music, the balmy evening, good friends, this is what we love about summer. Now, go to this link, give yourself the gift of watching it to the end and you, too, will be dancing, swaying and smiling

Love a good Twist and Shout! They say music has the ability to transport you right back to when you heard it first.....ahh youth where for art thou? I love to dance to the music of my past days....for us it’s Eagle Rock by Daddy Cool.....hehehe...
